“When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves…” – Buddha
My name is Silver Braganca and I am a digital media and marketing specialist assisting businesses across domains to increase brand awareness, enhance sales and improve marketing efforts. I am also a strong advocate of mental health and mindfulness.
My first encounter with yoga, meditation and mindfulness was back in 2009; that was when I had recently graduated from university and was scouting for a job. Unfortunately, it was the time when the world was reeling under a recession and securing a suitable job was beyond question. Taking some time off from my monotonous job-hunting routine, I often visited a local park where I discovered a group of people practicing yoga. The serenity on their faces prompted me to join them. Part of their activities included a 15 minute guided meditation session and since I had time to spare, I attended the sessions regularly. I didn’t quite understand the benefits of these sessions until I began my career.
The hustle and bustle of the big city life in Dubai was quite stressful. It made me reminisce about the tranquil meditation and yoga sessions that I had experienced during my unemployed days. I quickly delved into finding out more about meditation and this is when I bumped into Siddha Samadhi Yoga founded by Guruji Rishi Prabhakar. With the help of my Guruji’s instructions, I learnt the art of achieving and maintaining a healthy work-life balance through mindfulness, pranayama and meditation. I was able to meet deadlines at work and also give quality time to my relationships.
Our journeys and past experiences create the person we are today. Mine taught me to grow
emotionally, spiritually and professionally which overtime has helped me have a successful international career that has taken me to all corners of the world. Meditation influenced me greatly and helped me realise my true potential and that it is just as important to develop our minds as it is to develop our bodies.
We live in a world that is dynamic and impulsive. Hence, we must stay connected and learn as we go. The internet has made the world smaller by bringing people together and this truly provides each one of us with an opportunity to learn, evolve and grow as better human beings. I am truly excited to spread the word and help you in your wellness journey with our wellness and mindfulness programmes at the power of N.
